I understand I get a refund, how does it work?
- Typically, the contingency fee is a simple percentage, based on 50% of recovery. Shipment HQ does a full recovery; all of the auditing, paperwork, and financials. We provide a check, direct deposit, on a monthly basis. We provide accounting, for an audit trail. And we provide the Shipment HQ dashboard, with reporting tools designed to highlight significant cost savings.
What do I need to do, to begin?
- Simple. Sign a form that authorizes your carriers to share your shipping information with us in an EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) format.
How do I collect on lost and damaged shipments?
- It’s a minimal requirement, but to reclaim money for lost and damaged shipments, we will request a copy of your shipping invoices upon which they appear, on a weekly basis. Predictably, this takes 30 to 60 minutes of your time, per week to retrieve.
How many months can you audit for past shipments, to claim a refund?
- The number of months can vary depending on the carrier and what is being audited.
Can you analyze our overnight or early a.m. shipments?
- Yes, we examine both FedEx and UPS, and give you the information you need to reduce costs on shipments that can arrive next day, one day ground, etc.
But what if we do our own audits now?
- That’s fine. Put us to the test. Let’s begin by having us review a file that you have reviewed in the past three months. We’ll review it, and compare results at no charge.
What differentiates you from the competition?
- No one else is does what we do. We offer a fully comprehensive audit. We audit for late shipments AND your lost & damaged shipments.
How long does it typically take to pull invoices for lost and damaged?
- In our experience, the time spent pulling invoice will be around 30 to 60 minutes per week. Other than this, we handle all of the work.
How much could there possibly be in lost and damaged refunds?
- In fact, if you use UPS, the refunds in this category are greater than all of the refunds combined (late deliveries, incorrect transaction charges and incorrect accessorial charges). These audits require a great deal of manual work. We do it.
What is required on our part, to verify a lost or damaged shipment?
- We will need the invoice that shows what you shipped in the package.It includes the items numbers, item costs, ship to address, etc. We’ll provide you with an Excel spreadsheet with the details.
We don’t have a problems in lost and damaged shipments. Our customer service handles all inquiries.
- We agree that one would think if a package undelivered, the customer would call in it. We would. You would. However, we have found this is not always the case. People get busy and they forgot to call in, or they receive a large group of shipments where 1 or 2 packages are missing and get overlooked, or they call the carrier and think it is handled. This is a good time to have your their files reviewed at no obligation and see what we find.
What does the Shipment HQ dashboard provide?
- With access to the EDI system, you will receive detailed information on all your shipments on your desktop. Our software will also provide numerous standard and customized reports as well as ad hoc reports. Our reports will help you to reduce and control your shipping costs. We provide perform the analysis and issue Analysis Reports along with detailed steps to take to reduce your shipping costs.
What kind of savings can I expect from the reports?
- We have customers that have reduced their shipping costs up to 20% based on our reports.
What is an address correction report and what are the benefits?
- This report can be used to update your address database. We have helped customers to reduce their address problems by up to 80%. This will save you money on address correction fees, reduce hidden costs (staff's time to handle customer inquiries and time and cost to send replacement products) as well as improve customer satisfaction by getting their package to them in a timely manner.
